Down in the Mosh Pit with Evolve  Emerging consumer electronics manufacturer Evolve Audio has launched its first product to the market, a sound-bar with wireless subwoofer and wireless headphones. The SB-2501 combines Evolve Audio’s Definitive Surround Sound (DSS) audio technology with sleek looks to upgrade the audio performance of TVs, but remain discrete in the home. The sound-bar, encased in a slim brushed-aluminum design, features six 40mm high-efficiency drivers to deliver a lifelike surround-sound performance. The built-in 16-bit Audio Signal Processor (DSP) with four different sound “modes”,(music, movies, news and sport) combined with Uniphase technology helps create a surround-sound experience like that in the middle of an auditorium, front row of the march or the concert mosh pit. For dynamic passages, the wireless subwoofer, with its 15 cm bass driver, adds reinforcement yet its diminutive size allows for it to be easily tucked away. Wireless headphones enable users to listen without disturbing those around them, such as sleeping kids or a partner reading a book. In addition to the expected connectivity options for TV use including Optical Digital (Toslink), RCA Analogue and a 3.5mm stereo jack socket, the SB-2501 includes Bluetooth with aptX for high-definition music streaming from smartphones, tablets or PCs.
